Featuring artisan lampwork glass beads made by me, Sarah Demo, in my Turtle Pond Beadery studio in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.
I had been making beaded jewelry for a few years when I decided to try my hand at making the glass beads themselves. All it took was an introductory flameworking class at the Corning Glass Studio with the talented Caitlin Hyde to spark my passion for making glass beads. That was around four years ago, and I have been happily torching beads and learning new techniques ever since. I am a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and a Self-Representing Artist, #D59.
